Welcome to the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) website (https://www.vaccho.org.au/) (the Website).

VACCHO would like to acknowledge and pay respects to the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work, and their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors to the Website.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors are warned that the Website may contain references, images, and voices of deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Please ensure that you read these terms and conditions (Terms of Use) carefully as they govern the way you can, and must not, use the Website. These Terms of Use also describe the promises you make to us about your use of the Website.

Purpose of this Website

This Website has been established to solely for the purpose of providing information to users about VACCHO, the Victorian Aboriginal health sector, VACCHO affiliates, members, and stakeholders.

The Website is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We have a number of social media accounts, which currently includes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn (collectively known as our Pages).

All content on our Pages is subject to individual terms of use as outlined by each social media provider.

The Website is owned and operated by the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation Inc (ABN 67 498 114 972) (VACCHO, we, our or us).

Website” means the whole or any part of the web pages located at www.vaccho.org.au as replicated on any device (including mobile applications) and includes the layout, individual design elements, underlying code elements and any text, sounds, videos, graphics, animated elements or other content contained on this Website.

Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP)” refers to the rights of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to their cultural heritage. This includes all tangible and intangible knowledge including traditional knowledge, traditional cultural expression, objects, sites, language, song, dance, music, stories, ceremonies and the secret/sacred.

Intellectual Property” refers to the existing and future industrial and intellectual property rights, including any copyright, database, patent, design, trade mark, domain name, business or company name, know-how, trade secret, circuit layout, confidential information and any other rights of a similar nature whether registered registrable, patentable or not.

We reserve the right to make changes to the Website and these Terms of Use at any time without notice. Any amendment will be effective immediately. Your continued use of this Website after any amendment of these Terms of Use constitutes an agreement by you to comply with, and be bound by, the amended Terms of Use. Accordingly, you should access and read the Terms of Use from time to time for changes.
