The HR Capacity Project is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria recognising the importance the role that HR practices play in enabling Members to competently execute their primary activities of health service delivery.

The purpose of the HR Capacity Project is:

  • To build HR and workforce development capacity across all VACCHO 27 member organisations with a specific emphasis on ACCHOs with limited HR management
  • Support for VACCHO members via HR positions for some services
  • VACCHO HR Consultant to provide advice and support to members in HR issues
  • To develop a HR community of practice network for all ACCHOs                              

The next HR Community of Practice Network Forum will be held on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 of December 2014. The topics covered will be managing poor performance, introduction to coaching, reviewing policies and procedures, managing workcover and an introduction to The Community Sector Workforce Capability Framework.
