Sustainability and Business aims to support the sustainability of the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector in Victoria through the following mechanisms:
The Sector Quality Improvement Team provides support to VACCHO member organisations across the whole organisation, not only the health service area.
The HR Capacity Project is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria recognising the importance the role that HR practices play in enabling Members to competently execute their primary activities of health service delivery.
Through delivering the Strengthening Primary Health Care project, the team is funded to work intensively with a limited number of VACCHO member organisations and provide broader support to all VACCHO members to define, develop and implement the required systems, policy and procedures, monitoring and reporting processes.
The Sector Quality Improvement team can also provide consulting services in the areas of Accreditation, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Review, Performance Review (CEO/Management) and Governance Review and Support. The Sector Quality Improvement team provides a range of workshops, individual member support, advice, advocacy, coaching, systems development and support to ensure VACCHO Members have a strong and thriving Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
