In May 2022, the Balit Durn Durn Centre was launched with the purpose of working alongside Aboriginal organisations statewide to foster innovation and improvement in social, emotional well-being (SEWB) practice, policy, and research. To mark over two years since the launch, we’re hosting a special event to celebrate the Centre’s achievements, with a particular focus on the past year.
This event will honor the Centre’s progress and recognise the scholarship recipients who have been awarded Aboriginal SEWB scholarships to pursue their university studies.
Our celebration will be graciously guided by proud Gunditjmarra man, Tony Lovett, with a warm Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by the Wurundjeri people, complemented by light refreshments and a captivating program featuring entertainment and special guest speakers:
