It was two steps forward and one step back for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal Victorians as yesterday’s budget announcement delivered wins for Aboriginal Treaty advancement but failed to secure long-term funding that will improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal Victorians.

The Victorian Aboriginal Children and Young People’s Alliance calls upon the Andrews government to act immediately in preventing the continued and alarming growth of Aboriginal babies and children being removed and placed in out of home care.
