The Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and the Victorian Aboriginal Children and Young People’s Alliance (VACYP Alliance) have welcomed the appointment of Justin Mohamed as the second Victorian Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People.

Bendigo’s Aboriginal community is rejoicing after the property title over the Bendigo and District Aboriginal Cooperative (BDAC) was lifted, and full control of the Cooperative’s assets was returned to the local Aboriginal community by Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Natalie Hutchins.
