GATHAGNA WUTJA4

Gathagana Wutja* is a VACCHO led consultation project on Victorian alcohol and other drug (AoD) services being delivered to Aboriginal people, and how they might be enhanced.

The aim of Gathagana Wutja is to improve health and wellbeing of Victorian Aboriginal communities, with self-determination at the heart of the process.

Gathagana Wutja will map alcohol and drug services across the State as they are now, and in partnership with our Members will develop options to improve and re-design to redesign the AoD program with better outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

We’d like to hear from Mob throughout Victoria about things like:

  • Challenges and barriers to access AoD treatment services
  • Additional types of services that are needed
  • What works well now and what could be improved in a re-designed program
