Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association

Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association (LEAHA) is the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in Lakes Entrance.

Its vision is to “improve the health and wellbeing of the Aborigines in the communities in and around Lakes Entrance, Lake Tyers Beach, Lake Bunga, Swan Reach, Tambo Upper and Metung.”

LEAHA commenced in 2004 as an Elders Group working in partnership with Gippsland Lakes Community Health (GLCH) to improve access to health services for Aboriginal people and lead the process of reconciliation.

In 2007 LEAHA became an Incorporate Association and now has over 80 members.
