VACCHO Improvement Cycles (VICs)

Supporting CQI in Victorian Aboriginal community controlled organisations

The VACCHO Sector Development Team seeks to embed CQI in a state-wide, collaborative and data-driven approach to assist staff in all Victorian Aboriginal community controlled organisations to improve patient outcomes and the sector's sustainability.

Three-month VACCHO Improvement Cycles

One of the key engagement and improvement activities is a regular three-month series of webinar-based content delivery and discussion, called VACCHO Improvement Cycles (VICs). These are open to all Aboriginal community controlled organisations and their staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs, nurses, allied health providers, management, medical reception and administrative staff

Previous VACCHO Improvement Cycles

To date, the VICs have focussed on:

  • VIC1: Alcohol
  • VIC2: Diabetes
  • VIC3: Asthma
  • VIC4: Chronic Disease Management
  • VIC5: Physical Activity
  • VIC6: Sexual Health
  • VIC7: Women's Health and Wellbeing

Recordings and presentations for all previous VACCHO Improvement Cycles can be accessed via File Vista
