The Working Together for Health (WTForH) program, with the inclusion of the Prevention and Early Intervention Coordination (PEIC) Model, has become a signature, joint VACCHO-DHHS initiative.
The Working Together for Health program focuses on improving the ability of ACCOs to undertake prevention, screening and early intervention activities in the following areas:
This Program has encouraged and enhanced VACCHO's internal and external stakeholder partnerships, drawing on the expertise of staff and agencies who have a shared portfolio.
The Program has also led to the employment of key staff, which together with stronger partnerships, is driving systematic change across Victorian ACCOs towards a more sustainable, preventative and early intervention approach.
Working Together for Health project deliverables initially focussed across the Loddon Mallee and Gippsland regions, as well as contract management of the three PEIC roles funded by DHHS. Over time however, the reach of the Program has expanded, and is now inclusive of all ACCOs across the State.
All ACCOs receive onsite visits, and relationships have been established with managers, and key clinical and non-clinical staff.
