Mallee Community Leadership Group

Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) is improving its governance arrangements to better support Aboriginal communities across the Mallee region to voice their needs, priorities and aspirations.

What does this mean?

The Victorian Government is establishing a Mallee Community Leadership Group and you can be involved.

The Group will guide and promote a Membership Drive and support the community’s services needs and aspirations.

What will the Mallee Community Leadership Group involve?

Two representatives from each township (Mildura, Robinvale, Swan Hill and Kerang).

Working closely with Victorian Government and MDAS to implement changes for a minimum of 6 months.

Representing the independent voice of your local Aboriginal community as well as the whole Mallee Aboriginal community.

How to be involved

Nominate yourself to be a representative on the Mallee Community Leadership Group.

Support others to nominate themselves to represent your community.

Nomination process

Complete a nomination form and return to one of the Victorian Government contacts below.

Submit completed nomination form before 5.00 pm on11 September 2020
