The 2020 Otitis Media App was designed in conjunction with Menzies School of Health Research. It is an information and multimedia tool to assist primary health care providers in the delivery of comprehensive, effective and appropriate care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with otitis media. This webinar, delivered by one of the App content creators, will cover the main app features including:
- Latest evidence based guidelines prepared using the GRADE approach
- Algorithms to assist with clinical decision making
- A Victorian perspective on ear health issues

Presenter – Prof. Stephen O’Leary
Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon and Scientist Prof Stephen O’Leary is a Melbourne-based, internationally recognised ENT surgeon. His clinical expertise is in ear surgery, cochlear implantation and treating inner ear disease. He is renowned for his work into the prevention of infection with cochlear implantation. He dedicates his time to both research into otology and surgical practice while leading randomized controlled trials into cochlear implantation and Indigenous ear health.
