Subsidised training and funding

Find out if you are eligible to receive funding through State Government subsidies which can assist with your course fees at VACCHO.

The Victorian Skills First Program

In January 2017, Victoria’s training and TAFE system was overhauled. A new approach to training was implemented, setting a high benchmark for training quality, and supporting the courses that are most likely to lead to employment.

Skills First is a commitment to a contestable, but more managed training and TAFE system, where providers who have satisfied new rigorous standards will get government funding to provide high quality, industry relevant training to students.

To be eligible for a Government subsidised place, you must meet the eligibility requirements of the Skills First Program which include citizenship/residency requirements, age, prior qualifications completed and the number of government subsidised courses commenced within a calendar year.

For more information on the Skills First Program please head to the Victorian Government webpage here.

You can test your eligibility for this funding here.
